A.P.J Abdul Kalam Azad




A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, full name Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, was an Indian scientist and politician who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007.


Dr. Abdul Kalam was born on October 15, 1931, in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, India. He had a distinguished career as a scientist and made significant contributions to the development of India's space and missile programs. Dr. Kalam played a crucial role in the development of India's first satellite launch vehicle and ballistic missile systems.


He was known as the "Missile Man of India" for his work on the development of India's indigenous guided missile program. His contributions to India's defense technology earned him several prestigious awards, including the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor, which he received in 1997.


Apart from his scientific achievements, Dr. Abdul Kalam was also a popular figure among the youth of India. He was known for his humble nature, inspirational speeches, and his emphasis on education and innovation. After his presidency, he continued to be involved in various educational and charitable initiatives.


Unfortunately, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam passed away on July 27, 2015, while delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management Shillong. His death was a great loss to the nation, and he is remembered as one of India's most beloved and respected personalities.
